Gentlemen, Sirs! <salute>

Attention to Orders!

The following CSA Officer is assigned to the Command of the Early‘s 4th Division, Jackson’s II Corps, Army of Northern Virginia:

Brigadier General Paul Swanson, after completing his tour of duty as Brigade Commander of the 7th Brigade, Hill’s Light Division, Jackson’s II Corps will assume command from Major General Ed Blackburn! General Blackburn has requested and been approved a Leave of Absence (LOA).

Barkeep, please another round of mint julep to raise a toast to the new Commander of Early's Division and for the quick return to duty of her former Commander!

Please keep em coming and you can put it on General Mallory's tab!

Respectfully,

Your Obedient Servant,

General Nick Kunz
Chief of Staff,
Army of Northern Virginia

What's this I hear? I've been notified by the bartender that my bar tab at the "Clump of Trees" Tavern is now more than my monthly salary. I should have known - General McOmish heard "free drinks", and he's been camped out here ever since! :O

Oh, well. At least it's for a good cause this time. My congratulations to General Swanson on his new assignment!

Now, will some of you men kindly help me get General McOmish back on his horse and pointed back to his own HQ?

While I admire the initiative and enthusiasm of your boys, I encourage you to direct their pyromaniacal tendencies toward the YANKEE taverns. Remember the last time we tried to extinguish a fire here, when someone (who shall remain nameless) accidentally threw a bucket of moonshine on the blaze? Not only did this action result in an inordinate expansion of the inferno, but several of our officers broke down and wept at the waste of perfectly good 'shine. It was a sad affair, indeed.

I think some stopped weeping after more 'shine was found on a hollowed out tree!
