I purchased Campaign Shenandoah a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to see the image that confronted me whenever it was the turn of the Union.

Instead of one of the Generals present in the Valley, I was faced with the grisly countenance of W T Sherman. That's not right; I don't want to see that. Why not an image of one of the USA generals present in the Valley, or failing that one of the 'Young Napoleon' for earlier battles or one of Halleck for all of them.

JTS is good with period images of many commanders of the time but why must we have Sherman for this one?

[In many wargames where Sherman is represented by a piece or a counter I often seek him out for my special attention, especially when playing the AI. It used to perturb me in the old Civil War Generals II game that no matter how often I killed or captured Sherman he would appear in a later battle. Fortunately, in some newer games like Forge of Freedom when I kill him he stays in his grave and does not arise to again do battle with me.]

Forwarded for your consideration and comments.

Why is Sherman in the Valley at all?

That is odd, as I'm not able to find his image in the leader pictures files.

I feel your pain, sir. Mrs Sherman didn't want to look at that face.
