Gents,

I am working on the Union webpages, updating the code and especially the links and have discovered a problem
In searching acwgc you get two different webpages,
https://wargame.ch/wc/acw/
and
https://www.acwgc.net/

There are links on most of the Union pages to the main club page at https://wargame.ch/wc/acw/
I need to know which is the official club webpage for these links.

Also some of the links at https://www.acwgc.net/ site are out of date.

The AotT is now at https://www.unioneaglesonline.com/AotT/AotT.htm
the old page will be deleted soon as a part of cleaning up the site and the Union pages have been updated with this change and Scott Ludwig was notified ans has changed the https://wargame.ch/wc/acw/ site links.

The AotP is now at https://www.unioneaglesonline.com/AotP/AotP.htm
the old page will soon be deleted, again a part of the standardization and clean up work and the Union and Scott's sites have the updated links.

There is no note on the page as to who to contact about the webpage so I am posting here.

Afaik official is only the material under https://wargame.ch, that is were also the other clubs and their pages are hosted.
No clue what the other page is or who did it.

Sorry but I'm not using that page at all, it is more or less a mirror of what we have.
I see a serious conflict here if we start parallel entities of one and the same thing, the ACWGC is, was and surely will be always hosted on wargame.ch.
If http://www.acwgc.net hosts special stuff for recruiting and the academy that is fine, but I see no reason why we mirror and make it unclear for users what the main page is.

BTW same goes for shifting the Union stuff again to an external hoster under www.unioneaglesonline.com, what is that really good for? We should unify and not divide.

Moved this over here as it seems more Cabinet Business in nature.

ACWGC.net has grown into the largest club site we have. It hosts the combined Training Academy, the War Colleges, and a dozen other things such as the CSA Records Area, ANV homepage, Tournament pages, and others. Next year it will expand more as we add exciting new content to our YouTube Channel along with a webpage dedicated to online videos created for our members.

I was away from home this weekend and was doing some work on my laptop and it does not have all my bookmarks so I searched acwgc to log in, that was how I found the acwgc.net site and discovered the problem with their links. The acwgc.net site was not really my problem, the links listed were because once I am sure there are no problems with the AotT and AotP webpages in the new folders the old files will be archived meaning they will no longer be available online and any link to them will show a 404 error. I could write redirects at the old folders but I do not have the time to do so, and the idea behind the moves is to clean up the file/folder structure at the site.

The wargame.ch pages list Scott Ludwig, Ernie Sands & Pierre D as contacts so I notified Scott of the changes when they were made as well as posting a notice at the M&D, had no idea who to contact about the acwgc.net site about the link problem. In the future I will contact Blake about any changes I make that would effect the site.

I would suggest providing some way to contact someone at the acwgc.net site for reporting problems. You can often miss things when making changes/updates to your pages and this will give others a way to notify you of any problems they encounter.
