I'm a BIG...Sound Guy Lover!!!!!! I am currently working on Replaceing all the sounds in the game with new ones Pulled from : Gods and Generals, Gettysburg, Glory, Ken Burns Civil War...and other movies.....

Ever since HPS has introduced the "Background Sounds" in the Early American Wars Series...i've been working on Improving them.

My Gig is that as the battle Rages on your always going to hear Rifle's/Muskets and distant cannons booming...It makes you feel like there is other distant fighting going on....pluse putting a little nature sounds never hurt.

Replacing the Gunfire,Cannon and melee is also on the Agenda.......

I'm Looking for Guys to Test for me and let me know what they think...Please Pm' my inbox your email and i'll send what i have... ;)

I found the sound MODS very good and enhanced the games. I had no problems with them.

   Thankyou Suh!......

I'm Working on Background sounds..that replace the music files....I've placed echoes on it to seem like more battles/gun/Cannon are fighting just over that Hill....

I want to feel like I'm not the only one fighting....cause the battlefield was never quiet.....Once perfected will send out for Feedback!

Ok just completed 4 Background noises to be tested......

My thoughts on this...as the battle rages there is noise coming in all directions. I put together 4 different noise to play in the background (Like the default music)...to give the sense that as your making battle field decisions...the Battle is still going on....

I place an Echo on it to give a distance feeling.....let me know what you guys think....

Pm' me if you want to test...and feedback here is most Appreciated...

Are these files still available?

I'd like to try background sounds to have a rest from music.

Hi Jim,

I do not think they were ever kept at the ACWGC, but I have copies if you want them.

Thanks a lot. Makes a nice change to play with noise instead of music ...without having silence as the alternative.

I'll have to find a .wav file of cricket's chirping for the night turns !
