Basically I've tried to cook up a scenario that covers the Maryland Campaign from South Mountain to Antietam. This is a very rough draft. I'm a novice at this kind of stuff, and there were a few elements that I wanted to sim but I just can't figure out a way to. For one, if a union force makes it to a certain victory hex, can you set it up so rebel reinforcements can't enter at all? The idea is to try and simulate the effect of a more aggressive federal move to relieve Harper's Ferry. If Franklin had been able to push southward through Pleasant Valley and to Sandy Hook between 14-15 Sept, he very likely would have tied Jackson down at HF long enough to remove him from consideration in this scenario. Now, I'm not saying he would have beaten Jackson at all...just that it would have been hard for Jackson to assist Lee when he had to push through an entire corps. That being said, after the 15th HF's fate was sealed and Jackson would have been free to maneuver as he wished.

I also have no idea how to balance the victory points or artillery totals. I'm pretty sure my entry points and timing for reinforcements is off, too. Can any of you more established modders and scenario editors take a look and see how this is looking? Thanks!

Not sure if you got any feedback, here's mine. 1) Awesome that you are exploring this aspect of our club/hobby etc. Thanks as a club member.
2) I have designed several for the 1776/1812/F&IW games and my quick answer is playtest, playtest, playtest. The scenrios I built needed way more playtesting and by doing so, you will get some of the answers you are seeking. Thanks again :D
