I'm just wondering if there is any plans to make US-Mexican War mod for the Corinth 1.01 game as has been done for the BGG game [:)]??

I have been working on a revised US-Mexico game for BGG. I have playtested Palo Alto with Lt. Gen. Niall Murphy, but still working on it.

As for the HPS version, I cannot answer that, hopefully some of our HPS designers will chime in.

I have heard that HPS may eventually work on creating a Mexican-American War game engine. I had written an email inquiring about such a project and I was told that a game in the near future might be a possibility.

Even though this may be a possibility with HPS, I think they are better off with Civil War and Napoleon games. The War in Mexico was so lopsided that realistically the game would be a flop in my opinion.

But, hey, if they do it, great! I will get it.

Sir,

I know that Mex War battles were unbalanced, but it would be a blast charging over ancient lava flows and dodging copper cannonballs. However, I don't think such a game would be a flop.

As for Civil War, in my opinion is the best. Colonial, Nap War and Modern battles are great also. Unfortunately, Nap War never caught my fancy for very long, and so I am selling my Campaign Eckmuhl as well as all my Talonsoft BG games. [:)]
