American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

I respectfully wish to submit my report on completion of training under instruction of Lt. Col. A. Ren. The scenario chosen by my instructor was an Oak Hill variant.

As a training exercise I focused upon learning the basics of movement/fire/melee, command & control, terrain, elevation and generally attempting to maneuver my forces under incessant fire. I also learned (the hard way) that unsupported artillery (in hex) will suffer. I reviewed the Basic & Advanced Training Manuals in the VMI Training Campus whilst playing against the AI in other ACW scenarios during training and which proved enlightening.

My thanks to Lt. Col. Ren for the many excellent insights provided, his unfailing patience and for preparing this Cadet for the coming conflicts. A Major Defeat for my forces I regret to report.
