I have completed my first training battle with COL A. Ren on Oak Hill at Gettysburg. My Confederates advanced rapidly on Oak Hill but unfortunately in my impetuosity I exposed my right flank to the enemy who rapidly pushed my forces off of Oak Hill and forced me to retreat with a major defeat. Many great lessons from COL Ren to take forward into battle.

Cadet Rogers! <salute>

Sam, very nice report and match with your Instructor!

There is still much to learn while you take the field against those newbie Yank opponents but keep up your reading at the VMI advanced training!

I will be looking for a Yank to be paired for your match in the Lt's Cup and a nice job posting at the DoR!

Respectfully,

Your Obedient Servant,

General Nick Kunz
Commandant, VMI

Cadet Rogers <salute>

Welcome to the Confederacy.

Fear not on the outcome your training battle, we have all been there and, we learn more in defeat than victory.

Should your good fortune be a posting to the Army of Tennessee you will be joining some of the hardest fightin, hardest drinkin, hardest livin and hardest dyin men in the whole CSA......Death or Glory !
