I have created a list in chronological order of 201 historical scenarios included in the WDS ACW Campaign games. It does not include all historical scenarios. Excluded are short scenarios that are just partial scenarios of a major battle (e.g. Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg). The idea came from a post in the WDS website from rsupplz that listed historical battles. This list was put into a spreadsheet by Rich Hamilton and posted on that site for download. This uses Rich's spreadsheet as a base. I manually reviewed every scenario description included with the WDS games (which does not include custom scenarios) and listed every scenario that I found that the designer claimed was historical. The exclusions did involve some discretionary decisions and if there were more than one scenario for that battle, then the largest was listed. There are a couple of cases where a battle was included on more than one campaign game, and both were listed. Examples are included below but are in easier to read columns in the spreadsheet. If you would like a copy to be sent to you, send me an email at tnbloodngutsATyahooDOTcom (written this way to avoid spammers - the capital letters are not literal).

Battle # Turns Theater Date(First) WDS Game

Savage Station to Malvern Hill 174 Eastern 6/29/1862 Campaign Peninsula
Savage Station 39 Eastern 6/29/1862 Campaign Peninsula
Glendale (Frazier's Farm) 40 Eastern 6/30/1862 Campaign Peninsula
Malvern Hill 43 Eastern 7/1/1862 Campaign Peninsula
Baton Rouge 30 Western 8/5/1862 Forgotten Campaigns
Cedar Mountain 21 Eastern 8/9/1862 Campaign Antietam
Groveton 10 Eastern 8/28/1862 Campaign Antietam
2d Bull Run 81 Eastern 8/29/1862 Campaign Antietam
Middleburg 12 Western 8/30/1862 Campaign Corinth
Chantilly 15 Eastern 9/1/1862 Campaign Antietam

I remember that original post from RSupplz and got a printed copy almost immediately which I have filed [a pile on the floor] with other ACW notes in my office somewhere. Are there any differences/corrections on yours compared with the spreadsheet posted by Rich Hamilton later on that WDS forum topic?

Yes. There are a lot of changes and additions - 201 vs 145 entries.

Gen. Simms <salute>

You are to be commended for your outstanding work in producing a spreadsheet of this nature. It is I propose a resource that may be utilised through the passage of time by the entire membership.
I shall forward an email as noted and look forward to receiving the spreadsheet at your convenience and I thank you in advance for your kindness in this regard.
