Hello all,

I am Benjamin Lee, and a brand new member of the ACWGC from the great state of North Carolina! I've been into Tiller games for a few years, but started with NW before more recently adding the ACW to my repertoire.

Although I picked up ACW Tiller relatively late, it is right in my wheelhouse. I grew up traveling to battlefields on the East Coast (Antietam is certainly my favorite, although Bentonville holds a special place as my home state's battlefield), and I have dedicated myself to the Civil War academically. I had the privilege to work with Joe Glatthaar on an undergraduate honors thesis during my time as a student at UNC (for those who haven't read it, I highly recommend his book General Lee's Army: From Victory to Collapse) and will be pursuing a PhD studying Civil War Military History over at Texas A&M this fall. I've always held onto a love for wargaming, and Tiller serves as the perfect thing to carry with me as a pleasurable pastime while I push on in my studies.

A warm thank-you to Nick Kunz, who is introducing and acclimating me to the club, and to Kent Scarbrough, who is serving as my trainer.

I look forward to meeting y'all and clashing on the virtual battlefield!

Hello Benjamin,

let me bid you welcome as your fellow Cadet. It seems your knowledge on the period far exceeds mine and I look forward to facing you on the field of battle!
