After a few years of procrastinating I finally decided to combine (or try) all my HPS games onto one CD so I wouldn't have to keep switching disks between games....was getting a bad case of tennis elbow...err "cd elbow."[:D]

Anywho, I remembered a post from 2004 where it was stated how to do this. So I searched and found it in the archives and followed the instructions verbatim (delete all map, hlp, etc. files). I was mostly successful. I was able to get HPS GB, Corinth, Shiloh, and Vicksburg on the single CD, but not my Peninsula game. Everytime I tried to play HPS Peninsula it would ask for the game CD and wouldn't accept the single CD I created. Thinking I left some files off I tried a second time and created a second CD, but still the same result. Every game worked but Peninsula.

Does anybody know if there's a particular file from Peninsula I might be deleting that I need to make sure remains on the new combined CD to be recognized?

Thanks

Hi Boyd:

Send me your address and I'll send you a CD with all HPS games on it.

I had this problem the first time I added Camp Peninsula, but I noticed that the problem was the folder name on my hard drive was slightly different from how I had named it on the CD. Might be worth a look.

Definitely works with Peninsula. The only important thing is that the folder has exactly the same name as the one on the CD, and that the main game executable is in it. So in this case: "Campaign Peninsula" with "cpp.exe" in it. (You don't need anything else; forget the old instruction about copying entire game folders and then deleting files. This was a prototype stage of the process. [:D])
