Would you like to see the New Forum to look more like the old one?

Is this fine?

Don't care either way?

Not asking about features. Just style for the moment.

Hi Pierre.

From my own personal perspective, the old dark background, with light coloured text was easier on the eye and 'warmer'. This current Forum format is a little bright and quite hard on the eye after a few posts made/read.

Regards,

Pat.

I agree with that and would like to see more of the old board look. If I'm not mistaken, when I first logged onto this new one there was an option to utilize another more textured look. I used it and it looked good but it had been removed after a few days. Having said that, this new board is well laid out and there has been a lot of hard work and time spent on it. Well done and thanks to those concerned. It will be even better when the odour of new paint dies down. :D

I agree with General Carroll about the old style was easier on the eyes.

Well, personally, I like the new one better. I found the dark brown gloomy and it didn't combine well with BLUE.

As a matter of fact, I liked the style best that was only there a couple of days. Sort of had an oldfashioned newspaper look, for lack of a better word.

Of course, these forums can have several styles installed and every user chooses his own.

He can't. It's not a moderator permission but a user permission. It has to be assigned by a moderator to user groups or individual users.

I love the new format. Especially reading from top to bottom on the replies instead of the other way. The colors are a bit bland but it is still very functional.

Don't know what happened over the weekend but this is the first time that I was able to access the club. When I would try I would get an error message saying "forbidden" Anyone else have this problem. Or are they discriminating against us Rebs.

Just Seabees!

I had not heard that one, yet. If it happens, again, please email me and maybe we can track it down.
