[:)]How much do I like this version of Gettysburg? IT WAS THE MOST FUN I HAVE HAD YET GAMING ON THE INTERNET!! I have had some GREAT times with Don and other fellas but this battle was the hoot! The play seemed more realistic. Union lines were vernable but with the soft ZOC `s they didnt shatter so much as fell apart, They then were able to reform, The checker board defense didn`t seem to be near as effective except to allow Artillary fire lanes thus the lines were more connected giving a better "look". We played 007 so the map was HUGE and certainly caused more geographic concerns. Scouting is vital!! Give this or the smaller version a try!! The battles are stand alones for sure. Not sure of the victory conditions so ya might want to play someone where victory is not everything. Try to play a guy with similer skill levels. An ace at this will have a BIG advantage(having found that out from Kennon). There are a LOT of units ala Frost so if you`re impatient with reserves pass it up. I am still a fan of the Battleground version. Two great battlegame companies. We are blessed!! Major General Tony Best AOJ |
