CSA Turn 33 (5:00 am) Day Finally daylight, but Daniel did get away. Command Report Jump Map Jackson, Longstreet/AP Hill, and Magruder screen shots at turn start I forgot to take screen shots at the end of the turn. Here is that unit that refuses to rally. I think we are going to have to decimate that unit, execute every tenth man to make an example. |

CSA Turn 34 (5:20 am) For now the plan is to advance on Jackson's and Longstreet's fronts. Magruder is to hold in place for now but to be prepared to attack. Command Report The broken regiment rallied shortly after decimation rumors made the rounds. Jackson's AO at turns end. Longstreet's AO (Lee has placed Longstreet in command of not just his but also AP Hill's division) |

CSA Turn 35 (5:40 am) Command Report 3 regiments routed from DH Hill's command on the Confederate left. But watching Daniel's turn I notice several Yank units moving towards the front south of the Mill pond are the reinforcements moving towards a strong line or towards a weak line? Longstreets AO at the end of turn I decide he must be weak in this area so I am pursuing his retreating forces aggressively. I catch a supply unit in the process I am risking being thrown back but I figure the risk is worth it. If Daniel is weak in this area it won't be for long, so I best take a chance. If he isn't weak then I will suffer some loses but I have all day to rally and launch another attack. I hope catching his supply unit shakes his nerves a bit. I doubt he expected such a hot pursuit. No screen shots of the other areas...not much has changed since the last turn. |

CSA Turn 36 (6:00 am) Command Report 4 routs, ouch 2 in Jackson's AO and 2 in Longstreets AO It is gonna be tough in Jackson's area to advance and I probably deserve the routs in Longstreets area, I was rather reckless grabbing the supply wagons. Victory Report at turn start Stuarts AO or at least what will soon be his AO Lots of Union Cav in the area. I think it is gonna be a rather good size cavalry battle before the day is over. Jackson's AO at turns start I push Winder (Jackson's Division) forward towards some low forested ground hoping that the line is weak there. Longstreets AO at turn start and at turns end I get many guns unlimbered on the high ground and have a whole world of hurt heading towards some unsupported guns. I doubt I get to them before infantry support arrives. Magruder at turns end Magruder inches forward cautiously...Daniel has to have more troops in this area, right? If not I think I am going to be able to cut off all his units north of the Chickahominy. I am going to see how things develop, maybe move up some guns and see if I can blast his line apart. Victory Report at turns end Still moving in the wrong direction but hopefully not for much longer. I have a lot of troops converging on the Union positions. The Union line is a bit scary looking across from Jackson but looks weak in Longstreet's and Magruder's areas. Makes me wonder if he has a surprise attack coming somewhere. |

CSA Turn 37 (6:20 am) Command Report No routs, with so many D quality troops that is a minor miracle. Victory Report It moved in the wrong direction during Daniel's turn Turn start pics Stuarts AO Jackson's AO The weak spot I was hoping to find wasn't so weak once Daniel plugged it. The Stonewall Brigade (A Quality but undermanned) is fighting against D quality but strong units. Longstreet's AO Looks like I will keep the captured supply wagons but Daniel did have infantry support arrive. Magruder's AO He is still looking weak in this area. Unfortunately I do not have any post turn screen shots. I hit end turn during the melee phase before taking the pics. When you play a campaign game and finish your turn the game window closes immediately, unlike when you play a scenario the game window stays open even though the turn is over. I doubt this is a bug but not sure if it could be categorized as WAD either. I wish there was a way of modding the window to not close, there is no game purpose to it closing. |

CSA Turn 38 (6:40 am) Command Report Wow, no routs again. It was a little painful watching the fire being poured into my boys. Part of me was thinking "Run, dam it, run". Stuarts AO at turn start and end Stuart has shown in force. Jackson at turn start and turn end we continue to push and win a melee that also destroys some Yank guns. Longstreet at turn start and turn end that is a pretty healthy line that Longstreet and AP Hill have and with plenty of reserves. Meanwhile on the otherside of the Chicahominy...Magruder at turn start and turn end Magruder has his guns moving into position Victory Report at turns end |

CSA Turn 39 (7:00 am) Command report Some units did rout this time. Jackson end of turn Daniel started pulling back this line. I captured some guns in the process. Longstreet end of turn I am feeling good about this area plus there might be a way to bypass what few units Daniel does have in this area. |

CSA Turn 40 (7:20 am) Command Report Ouch, that was a lot of routs. Here is most of them Map at end of turn Just slugging it out at close range. I am pushing Daniel back but not breaking his lines. He is dishing out more punishment then I am. Victory Report I am going to lose this if things don't turn around. The good news is Daniels lines look week. I still have plenty of troops. The bad is I am taking huge casualties. I probably have about 6 more turns of an all out attack left before I will have to be more selective. If he has a big hole open in his lines within that time frame I should be safe. I just don't think he has the reserves to plug a large hole. |

Been away for about a month. Real life issues interfered. First I had to suspend the AAR but continued to play the game. Then me and Daniel had to place the game on hold. Good news is that I finally completed something that dominated my time for the last month and a half. Now to catch up on the AAR... |

CSA Turn 41 (7:40 AM) Command Report A lot of regiments routed. Jackson's AO He suffers some routs in the center of his line. At turns end Jackson's lines have crept forward. DH Hill on Jackson's left continues to press the yanks hard. Longstreet's AO Longstreet's units have little staying power. By turns end Longstreet has managed to dress his lines and continue the pressure. Magruder's AO The yanks throw back Magruder's attack on the far right of the union lines south of the Chickahominy. Magruder regiments continue to fight it out at close range in front of part of the union trenches. |

CSA Turn 42 (8:00 AM) Command Report and Victory Report Routs are minor this turn but casualties are high. Jackson's AO Daniel is withdrawing along Jackson's front. And Jackson continues to pursue. On Jackson's left he gives Daniel little breathing room. Ewell's units begin to engage on Jackson's right. Longstreet's AO Daniel withdraws along Longstreet's front. AP Hill pursues north of the Mill Pond. Longstreet's division, south of the Mill Pond, are more cautious. Magruder's AO The Union fire is intense and more regiments break for the rear. But Magruder doesn't give up. He begins moving up artillery close to the yank entrenchments. |

CSA Turn 43 (8:20 AM) Command Report A lot of routs...darn it. Victory Report Jackson's AO Units rout even tough the Union continues to withdraw... but Jackson's command fills the gaps and pushes forward. Longstreet's AO Looks like Daniel might try to hold for a bit. Nothing fancy to do but keep up the pressure. Magruder's AO Rough turn...the fire from the Union entrenchments is intense and our fire is largely ineffective. There is arty under that infantry that is two hexes from the union entrenchments. Hopefully that will break that line. Victory Report at turn end. That is close to 1,400 casualties total just in one players 20 minute turn...what a slaughter. |

I have to apologize for this turn. I forgot to take my normal screenshots. CSA Turn 44 (8:40 AM) Command Report No routs!! Jackson pushes hard Things look tough for AP Hill who is north of the Mill Pond. Thinks are looking good finally for Longstreet south of the Mill pond. NO PICS of Magruder. |
