 Post subject: Vicksburg Glitch??
PostPosted: Mon Nov 13, 2006 12:35 pm
Ok Gents, had a small problem my last turn at Champions Hill.

The strangest thing happened . After my movement phase when I advanced to the next phase some of my OPPONENTS units MOVED!!

700 men, 1 Leader, and 2 guns moved from hex (84,19) to hex (82,18) and then Fired at ME!!

Now I saw this happen as I advanced the phase, I mean literally I saw the units move! They didnt even bother to limber the guns!

While this has not cost me much, it has now given my opponent better ground. Mainly I just wanted to let Yall know and see if anyone else has experienced anything like this or any other glitches I need to know about.

General Smith,

Mobile artillery? Why, the next thing we know those cowardly Yanks will be building ironclad ground vessels to hide in while they move those guns around! Some people simply have no honor.

You should document this and send the information to HPS support at:

support(AT)hpssims.com

They will probably ask for the file, also.

Are you certain that they were the same units? It's possible that in moving you gained line of sight on the new hex (82,18) and lost line of sight on the old one (84,19), and that both hexes had similar unit mixes in them.

You've probably already thought of that and checked on it, but just in case, I thought I'd mention the possibility.

Gentlemen,

Just had a glitch with the Port Gibson campaign varient I am playing against Lt Gen Bowman, ANV. Opened my turn and Grant was replaced as it seems he was captured by reb squirels. I did not remember leaving Grant hang out there like a ripe apple to be picked, and Gen Bowman assures me his men had nothing to do with it. Even points were awarded for the capture.

We are trying to reply the turn to see if that helps. I jest hate to loose an Army Commander to a random act of squirels on in the first game of the campaign.

This was just plain weird.

Anyone that thinks they have a problem, should save the files and record the circumstances and send an EMAIL to support(AT)hpssims.com.

It doesn't help to gripe about something, here, and not actually report the incident.

Thanks for the email Gen Sands.

Have dispatched riders to the the site. But the emal seems to be incomplete. I'll try putting a @ in the address just before hpssims.

Did't you know? He got drunk and fell in the river. Squirrels had nothing to do with it! [:D]
