Gentlemen,

Can some one tell me how to check the OBD Points awarded to my Division Commanders. I know I can check my in My OBD Summary Report. How do I find the ODB Points for another Officer in my command? The Detailed ODB Reports always times out on me.

If you can't get the reports, talk to your commander.

You should try using the chain of command to resolve problems.

Dear Ernie Sands,

Sir, I am the chain of Command for my Division Commander. Is this monitoring and correction something that is only permitted by the Army Commander. I am already working with him, but thought it is something a Corps Commander should be able to do. I would at least like to be able to monitor it. The question is How?

Here is a copy of the Administration Rules:

2. Edit Current Member Information (All )

This page, based on their Admin role, allows commanders to edit information on members assigned to them.

When a Cadet "Graduates" from an Academy, he is assigned to a Theater by the CoA or the Academy CO (This is a CoA policy based decision in each army)

a. The CoA or Academy CO assigns the new Lt. to a Theater by selecting the appropriate Theater from the drop down list. (Change rank as appropiate also) Set the Army and Corps to "TBA". This is very important, else the new Lt. may show up as a Theater Commander on the OOB and will receive letters intended for the Theater Commander from the Field Promotion page.

b. The Theater Commander can assign the Lt. to an Army by selecting the appropriate Army from the drop down list. Leave the Corps set at "TBA". Again, this is important or the new Lt. now may find himself in command of an Army!

c. The Army Commander can now assign the Lt. to a Corps. At this point, if he is not assigning the Division and Brigade as well, he will need to select 9 from both of those drop down lists else the hapless Lt. might find himself now a Corps or Division commander.

d. The Corps Commander can then assign the new Lt. to the correct Division and Brigade.

The four steps above can be combined in any way the CoAs choose. It will be a matter of policy at each level. When changes are made that affect a members standing (ie leave of absence) the appropriate chain of command should be notified.

4. View Individual Officer OBD (All)

This is the same report as the general membership report page. I included the link here for convenience.

I stand corrected, Joe, on the quick email I sent. Corps commanders have limited access. I'm not sure where you're going to view the OBD of those under your command, but you'd find the Individual Officer OBD at the club administration link not the reports page

Dear Gen. Jon Cuneo,

Sir thank you for your reply. I do not have access to the Club Administration page. According to my Army Commander, Gen John Corbin, I do not have acess to this type of information.

When we implemented the Club - wide system, decisions were made in each Army (Blue and Grey) about who could/would have permission to add Admin points to individuals. Current Union policy on this can be found at:

Hope this sheds light on your question. General Sands is right, though - start with your Chain of Command. I owe General Corbin a more detailed answer on this topic, so I may be obliquely the source of some confusion...[B)]

Dear Gen. Don Adams,

Thank You Sir! I now have access to the information I was looking for, to view my Division Commaders OBD for combat and administration points. I will have to talk to my Army Commander Gen John Corbin to learn of my authority for other administration matters, but now I will be able to serve him better.
