Gentlemen, If'n I readed the orders from them durn Washington bueurocrats I could maybe figure out the answer to this vexing question. Figure it was jest easier to ask my learned Union peers from the east cuz I am only the son of a Iowa dirt farmer when not destroying reb armies and morale.[:)] <font color="yellow">If you end a campaign scenerio early through a termination bid, do your units recover fatigue for the unplayed turns?? A couple of times I have routed or destroyed reb forces while playibg campaigns and we moved on to the next battle rather than passing the turns back and forth. Did my men recover fatigue as if I stood them down for those turns??</font id="yellow"> I'd ask the rebs but I speck they have not reached this level of higher learning yet. Heck fire, I hear that they even have shoes, but do without so they kin count past ten.[:p] Your Humble Servant, Lt. Gen. Mark E. I have a faint recollection of how I regretted having accepted an early bid in a Corinth scenario because, even though the next battle was supposedly taking place many days later, my units hardly recovered any fatigue. Thank you Sir, for raising this question and for General Walter's response. Very helpful information as I just started my first campaign with the very wiley General Hargreaves. I can see after the first couple of turns that I be needin' much schoolin' in these more elusive circumstances not readily found in the manual or West Point. Now for all you tactically challenged Yankees[^] here is the proper procedure for recovering from fatigue: 1. Form you regiments up in column on the side of the road. (Don't go blocking the roads with you lazy troops there's Reb infantry that needs to use it.[:p]) 2. When some nice Rebs come along give them your guns. (It's very fatiguing to have carry those things around all day.[xx(]) 3. They will then send you south to Richmond, maybe on a train, which will help recover some of that fatigue. Gentlemen: Why waste all that extra work and funds to transport them back down south. We could just take their guns, clothes, food and everything else and let them ride the RAIL (not the train but the wooden rail)back to Washington and let Olde Abe see what we did to those POOR and TRIED members of the Blue Bellies Army.
