Guys, If you have Vista please beat up the games and let me know (Support at hpssims.com) of any issues you come across. We're looking to roll out these ACW updates before too long and want to make them as complete as possible. LGen. Hamilton II Corps ANV, CSA |

No one else has anything? That's good, but almost too good to be true...Microsoft always breask things big when they do something... LGen. Hamilton II Corps ANV, CSA |

Hi Rich. I just sent you an e-mail. Not too much else I can see right now, other than the campaign mode replay issue. I agree, MS has probably buggered it up somewhere else too that we're just not seeing yet. Gen. Rich, Just sent the following e-mail. Rich, I think there may be another issue with the campaigns (Ozark) in Vista. My opponent and I just finished a battle and have made our campaign decisions for the next battle. However, the next battle will not open. I get a message stating "error reading pg c2u2.scn". We had completed one battle and were partway through our 2nd battle when I upgraded to Vista. From that point on I was unable to view the replays. Now we are unable to move on to the 3rd battle. I assume it is a Vista issue since we were able to move from 1st to 2nd when we both were on XP. Thanks. Hi Dale, Yes, we are aware of the inability of a vista machine to start an actual battle file during a campaign, it can only play on already in progress one without watching the replay. That has been resolved in the new version, so we should be good on that note. Thanks to you and Den for your reports...just trying to get these items covered in a single update if at all possible! I am trying to play a game with BGG, scenerio 1, first contact. Tom sent me his move, and despite trying everything, including setting compatibility in Vista for the program to Windows XP, everytime I try and start the game I get the same error message, ERROR READING FROM REPLAY FILE. It plays fine on my laptop that still has XP. Am I missing something or is this a problem. Rich, I can send you the file if you would like to try it on VISTA. Field Lt. Mike Burdulis |

Rich, Thanks for the info and all your hard work. I appreciate the way you and the designers (Rich Walker for CW and Bill Peters for NWC games) keep in touch with us and continue to work on tweaking the games. Major General Dale Lastowicka 1st "Adirondack" Division XXV Corps Army of the James |

Mike, I had the same problem with BG games. I can't start scenarios either. I don't know what can be done on this since Talonsoft is no longer around to support the games. I know Matrix has purchased the rights to the games and had planned on re-releasing them. That was in October 2005 and still no re-release so I have my doubts it will happen. If it ever does get re-released maybe they will be Vista compatible. I'd stick with playing them on your laptop under XP.
