Gentlemen of the South: It is with great pleasure that I announce that the Nebraska State Historical Society has agreed to return the the great State of Alabama the original battle flag of the 1st Alabama Volunteer Regiment. This flag was carried proudly into battle by the Alabama Volunteers and is now on its way home to Alabama. Jim Gleason 4-2-I AoP |
