Post subject:  March, 2007 Cabinet Report

Officers of the Club,

Everyone in the club is required to muster (myself included, in my alternate role as a brigade commander). Often included in that muster report is a synopsis of activity for the month, such as a summary of on-going battles, etc. When I served as CSA CoA, I continued this reporting tradition -- inspired by my earlier commanders -- by submitting a report each month to the CSA Staff, with a copy to the Cabinet. My idea was to maintain as much transparency as possible and thereby provide a sense of accountability to the club.

It is in that same vein I have been submitting the monthly Cabinet report as the Club President. I would encourage all officers to keep their commanders fully informed of their activies, both battles and club work.

Following is the report of Cabinet work for this past month. Although the number of items this month is fewer than in the past, it should be obvious that there was much hard work going on by some Cabinet members:

1) Ernie Sands assumed responsibility for maintenance of the Department of Records.

2) Approved reorganization of Union armies by elimination of the Army of the James.

3) Approved seven USA General promotions.

As always, if any of you have any questions regarding the Cabinet or its work, just telegraph me.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory
