I am playing in a multiplayer Gettysburg game and noticed that when RE Lee was moved out of command control range of Longstreet, Longstreet became "detached" (as I expected he would). I assume this will be the case with the other Infantry Corp commanders when they get on the field. However, no matter how far JEB Stuart is from Lee, he has never been "detached". A quirk in the game? or is there a separate command range rule for cavalry commanders? Any help would be appreciated.

If you use the view command range function you can see that rebel cav brigade commanders have a range of 9 hexes and rebel cav division commanders have a range of 18 hexes. For Union it is 6 and 12 I think. Army commanders have a range of 20 hexes, but I don't know if this is extended for cavalry commanders under them.
