Up here in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin, bbbbbrrrrrrrr, we have a very good yearly event some of you may be interested in. Its called Muskets and Memories and is the 2nd largest event of its kind within the state and one of the largest in the upper midwest. I did this once. It was GREAT and I had alot of fun doing it. But now that I am older, it is just too much for an old man like me to do an infantry soldier. If I did it now, I would go as an Artillerymen. They use to have all the crowds around them....I guess it was because of the big GUNS. I remember being at the first big re-enactment at Manassas. It was wonderful...except it was very HOT...HOT...and HOT. They had to drop bags of ice on the trail and we put handfuls of ice under our kepi's and just let the ice melt..

I would still do it if I had the time (off on weekends)and if I could sweet talk my little Ms into it.

Oh well, enough day dreaming about it.
