Post subject:  Forum Problem

I'm having a problem witht he forum. I can log on ok and make posts but whenever I try to go to All Forums I get teh following error

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'strArray'

/board/acw/inc_func_common.asp, line 1447

If I log off I can get back into the forums ok. However once I select a forum and log in as soon as I try to go to All Forums to get back to the forum list I get the error and have to log out to get back to a forum. Anyone have any ideas what is going on ?

Thank God! Someone besides me is having that problem! I'm not crazy!

I've been experiencing that same problem for at least two weeks? Anyone else?

Help!

Sincerely,

Yeah, the only way I can acess the forums is to stay logged out. When I post a reply I just include my log in info otherwise I get the same error.

I use Link Express to get me into All Forums and then use the Back key to back out of each individual forum. If I make a post, sometimes I'll just hit the Link Express button in my tool bar again and go back into All Forums instead of hitting the Back key a few times.

I am not doing anything different than I was before I went on vacation. I was set to log on automatically and could navigate the forums without any problems and could see which posts were updated since my last visit. Now as soon as I log on and hit the Back to Forum button I get the error message and can't do a thing. Since I'm not the only one having the problem it would appear to be a forum problem. Discovering that was one of the things I wanted to accomplish. The other was to notify the people running the forums that there is a problem so they can look into it.

Are you a member of any of the sister forums? If so, log into those, then log into the ACW forum and you should be fine.

This is a seemingly random problem that only a few people run into. I have run into this, before, but the above solution has worked for YEARS for me.

I doubt that the problem will be fixed, as it is NOT one that we have control over, but seems to be some problem in the forum software AND we have NO control over that.

[:D] I found my problem, seems I somehow got myself suscribed to one of the forum messages. Soon as I removed the subscription everything started working again. Suggest anyone else who is having the same problem check and see if they are suscribed to any posts.

That subscription-elimination thing worked for me tool. I'll be damned. Thanks.
