Well Folks, I am waiting for Hurricane Ike to hit us...it looks like it will be pretty bad. I just want to say now (in case I can't later), that I blame the Yankees for this. I'm not sure how they do it, but I am sure they sent it. After all, virtually everything bad is their fault, therefor, following that logic, this must almost certainly be their fault. I'm sure of it (Ken Miller being excused from the equation). Regards to all......Hank BG Hank Smith Army of Georgia Smith's Corp Commanding |

We're sorry to have to put you through this, Hank! I don't know how we do it either, but its evidently a necessary thing. It seems more than clearly obvious that you've done something wrong, otherwise it wouldn't have to happen! Keep safe. Brig. Gen. Jos. C. Meyer Brig. Gen. Jos. C. Ya'll have been doing this type of thing to us ever since Genril lee and myselt whupped Grant at Appomattix, then joined forces with Johnston and whooped Sherman so bad, turned and took Washington, and accepted Linclon's surrender. Ever sinse then Ya'll have been fighting in even more ungentlemanly ways than usual......Hank BG Hank Smith Army of Georgia Smith's Corp Commanding |

I think I have figured it out. If it weren't for the Yankees these storms would just head west into Mexico. But because the Yankee's suck it creates a low pressure up north and the storms turn that direction and go NW. Eventually they turn completely around and head NE to Washington DC for the obvious reason.[:D][:D][xx(] LG. Kennon Whitehead Chatham Grays 1/1/III AoM (CSA) |

All theories aside, everyone knows that there is a direct correlation between between Hurricanes, hot air and hot water! Of hot air the south generates a regular, on-going, ample supply; and of hot water they produced great quantities for themselves anytime they attempt to take the field! [;)] Brig. Gen. Jos. C. Gentlemen, When the remnants of Ike passed southwest Ohio we had sutained linear winds of about 70 MPH for about five hours - gusts higher. The result was a large number of toppled mature trees, 750,000 without power (we're still in that group and I take a dim view of no electricity) and flattened crops in the fields. Apparently what happened in Ohio and Indiana is only important around voting time as it hasn't made the national news. Chuck Berdanier BG, 1/IX, AoO National Light Infantry |
