Just curious if people have favorite music from the HPS disk. I am only including HPS because I have not played the Battleground series in a while, but still love them, and don’t remember what music there is on them. Just to start I have two personal favorites. The first is “Riding a Raidâ€

Sultana's Bones and Rebel in the Woods are copied to all my games if they aren't there already.

Thanks for feed back, I will have to copy over to my other games if they are not already there. Maybe in triplicate :)

I love Rebel in the Woods. If that song is playing when I am about to end a turn I wait until it finishes.

I don't know about a favorite piece of HPS disk music, but I can sure tell you what I feel is the worse piece! That dirge-like, morose, morbid fanfare at the very beginning of all HPS disks is about the most depressing thing I've ever heard! If the object of the piece is to remind us all of how horrible the Civil War actually was, it almost succeeds in having me turn the game off!

If you want to hear some great ACW era music, I highly recommend the 2nd South Carolina String Band. They have about four CD's out and each of them is a gem. Not for the politically correct, as they capture the essence of the period with some post-war songs as well.

They also perform at most major eastern ACW reenactments, so if you attend one, follow the music to them in the sutler area.
