The upgrade for CHICKAMAUGA is still the OLD VERSION.

I contacted HPS support.

My download resulted in the V1.02 and included the optional Melee Resolution and also the nice new toolbar button - HQ which allows you to view the command radius of your leaders much the same way as the LOS button.

I just downloaded it again and ran it and I've still got the 1.01 version when I open the game. Where did you get your patch that gave you 1.02?

Hi, Mark,

Worked for me. I have Vista, and I had to browse to get it in the right folder. If you just download, it will put it under program files. To get my games to work right under Vista, I had to create an HPS folder outside the program files. That means I had to change the download destination from the default for the patches to go to the right place. Does that help?

Well I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'm still getting the 1.01 Chick patch this morning. Tried a different browser, rebooted the comptuer and still getting 1.01. Anyone got any ideas since y'all seem to be getting 1.02 now?

Found the solution at GameSquad:

Under PATCHES/UPGRADES:Chickamauga-----Chickamauga_102.exe: if you move your cursor over the word Chickamauga, a person can download the file Chickamauga_101.exe. If you place the cursor over the 102.exe, a person can download Chickamauga_102.exe.

Isn't it wonderful to be getting on in age? Makes one wonder how the heck we can find the bathroom all the time?[:D]

Who says that we find the bathroom all of the time - or the right bathroom anyway (some of those screams still resonate through my ears)? Mark's been around this club so long that even his signature block is getting wrinkles. I can remember when he was a bright eyed and bushy tailed young 2LT who had just brought his family west to Texas from Illinois and now he's a Texan that the word Illinois conjures up some memories that he can't quite place.

be nice to see some new patches for the other HPS games, Corinth, Gettysburg, Peninsula, even if it's just the cool new toolbar, melee rule and such. Oh forgot Franklin, Ozark, Atlanta

I think that has always been the plan. When, I do not know.
