Post subject:  problem with Tiller games and patches

After I have installed the patches in the folder of one of the games in the tiller disc, that game will not run, the program asks for the disc. The game will only run if I insert on of my old discs for that one game, eg Antietam. Has anybody using the tiller discs encountered this problem.

When patching the game I applied the first set of patches and then the 32 bit patch. Is this correct?

First. let's make sure you installed and patched the games, correctly.

Did you use the TYPICAL install on the games? If not, uninstall and install using TYPICAL.

If you did install using the typical method, then:

This is where you SHOULD get the patches:

For the Talonsoft patches:
http://www.hc-llc.net/games/patches.html

For the 32 bit updates:
http://home.hiwaay.net/~tiller/32bitupdates.htm

After downloading the patches and updates, place the FILES <font color="red"><b>(IMPORTANT)</b></font id="red"> into the MAIN GAME FOLDER for that installed game!!!

Then, update with the TALONSOFT patches. MAKE sure you use the correct DRIVE, such as "C".

Then, update with the 32 bit updates. MAKE sure you use the correct DRIVE, such as "C".

If this does not work, then there are some more options, but try this one first.

What Operating System are you using? Vista, XP, Mac? (may or may not be necessary)
A disk MUST be present in the original drive that was used to install the game. If your CD/DVD drive is "E", then that is where the disk must be. Whether this is the original disk or a master disk with all the games makes no difference. The game looks to read application files off the disk; if it is not present, it will request the disc to be placed in the original drive.
