Welcome all!

It is my pleasure to announce that the follwoing officers have been recognized for outstanding service.

Generals Simms, and Perrenod have been awarded the Sheridan Combat Medal. I believe this makes both multiple winners of this award.

Also, General Seger has been awarded the Combat badge, being the most active officer in the Corps this qtr.

Lastly, Lt. Michael Woods has signed on to be VIII Corps Adjutant.

First round is on me!

"General Sickles, this is in some respects higher ground than that to the rear, but there is still higher in front of you, and if you keep on advancing you will find constantly higher ground all the way to the mountains."

Thank you kindly, Gen. Hodgkiss. And Gen. Simms, it's always good to stand beside you. Rather than in front of you, because you might charge, and not behind you because, well, you know...

Congratulations, everybody. Well deserved.

General Hodgkiss: I have a question on that flag.

I may be much mistaken, but I seem to recall I've seen it once flying outside General Meade's tent when he was in command of the Army of the Potomac. Seeing how the AoP is our traditional rival within the Union army, is this a proper flag to fly for an AoS officer? Unless of course you've taken it from them and keep it as a trophy!

Generals Simms & Perrenod,

My congratulations to the both of you. You are credits to the Union army.

General Hodgkiss, I will accept your offer of that drink. I haven't been capturing nearly as many Yank wagons lately as I would like. [:D]

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

General Walter,

Right! It is General Meade's HQ flag. I am a huge Meade fan, so I'm going to tell you that I stole it from the AoP, and I'll trust you not to investigate further. [:)]

General Mallory...you are welcome to have as many as you like on my tab sir! What with these being hard times for you rebs.

A Sheridan Combat Medal! Wow, something else to impress the womenfolk with. I need everything that I can to take their attention away from my head and butt. However, don't think that I'm foolish enough to wear those medals on the battlefield. No sirree, those Rebs are too good a shots to be wearing anything shiny. And yes, General Perrenod, many a poor fellow (Reb and Yank alike) have learned to stay out of my front and avoid my rear because they don't call me General Dirty Britches for nothing. Bartender, pour me a tall one 'cause these hemmorhoids need some numbing.
