Post subject:  TS Shiloh indirect fire in the ships

Gentlemen:

I need to be able obtain indirect fire with battles TS like in Shiloh. I think that it is a matter of the pdt file, but what is the exact place for the changes?.
Thanks in advance.

I seem to remember using indirect fire. I cannot find out how to accomplish it. Can anyone help out here?

Select the ship and fire as you normally would fire directly, IIRC. Maybe you have to hold down the CTRL or ALT key, but I am not all that sure.

For the Matrix (and probably the TS 32 bit versions):
Holding 'CTRL' while firing the gunboat will allow you to fire the gunboat any hex within range. If there is no LOS then there is a chance that the fire will drift.

Here's what I'm fairly certain of:

Line 176 in the PDT file sets the probability for gunboat ammo status change; currently 5%. There is also a way to set the AI's probability of firing indirectly during day and night turns by adding 2 more lines to the main.ai file that comes with Shilo: The second to last line would be the daytime probability and the last line would be the nighttime probability. currently these default to 10 and 50 respectively.

Hope this helps!
