Post subject:  Cabinet Positions

Officers of the Club:

There are three Cabinet positions coming available as of 12/31/2009. Jeff Laub's second term as USA Chief of the Armies is ending, and the first terms of Bob Weir and Mark Nelms as CSA and USA (respectively) Cabinet Secretaries are ending.

According to Club Rules, Jeff will not be allowed to serve a third two-year term as USA CoA. Both Bob and Mark are eligible to serve one more term each.

Further announcements will be forthcoming about each of these three elections. If you are interested in serving in any of these three positions, please review the Club Rules regarding the Cabinet and elections.

In the meantime, please join me in thanking all three of these officers for their dedication and active work in the Cabinet.

Drinks are on my tab in honor of these fine officers and their un-selfish devotion to the cause!

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

<font face="Book Antiqua"><font size="4"><font color="beige">Gentlemen!

<font size="6"><font color="orange">SALUTE!</font id="orange"></font id="size6">

It goes without saying that our Gaming Club has a great tradition of members stepping up and taking command, without such this would just be another gaming ladder Club instead of being the special place that it is!

I have had the privilege of meeting both Jeff and Bob. Briefly, back in 2007 the State of Washington was in command of both armies when I served as CSA CoA for a few months. Jeff and I shared a Mariners game one August evening and had a wonderful chat. We may not have always agreed on all things but Jeff has championed not only the USA side of the Club but the whole Club too! Many thanks Jeff for your four years of service as USA CoA!

Bob Weir and I have had a chance to meet twice, first time over lunch and beers before I had to head home from the great state of Maryland. Second time was a couple of days last year in March when we ran up and down the Valley, getting soaked and sick but still had a terrific time. Bob is a great supporter of the Club and what a wonderful job he has done helping to create such spendid medals and ribbons used here in the Club. Bob, I hope you are up for another two years?

Mark, hope to someday get to meet you too, you have been a solid rock for the USA and the Club and may you continue to do so.

Respectfully,</font id="beige"></font id="size4"></font id="Book Antiqua">

I'd be remiss if I didn't add my statement of gratitude to these club members. The cabinet stuff is hard, and frequently thankless. I've enjoyed working with Jeff, and hope Bob & Mark are both willing to stand for another term.
