You cannot tell by looking at the map whether you are going up a hill or down one. It's very deceptive due to the poorly assigned colors for elevation.

I designed Franklin.
If you download the latest patch, it will alow you to play the game with both graphic options. No need to sub graphics. If you feel the historical games is too difficult, try the "What if" scenarios.
BTW, to avoid duplicate scenarios, read the "Changes file" first and follow the instructions.
