Lt General Ludwig,
Scott,

Welcome back, Sir! <salute>

I had thought you'd gone off and joined the Union Army but here I see you've been given command of the III Corps of the ANV! The old Swamp Legion... ah yes... those were the glory days when General Den McBride was the Corps Cmdr there and then later the ANV Cmdr. He and I spent many an evening sending dispatches back and forth while we were doing Army and Theater paperwork. You remember those days too I'm sure... back before the DoR! I had a stack of chalkboards right next to my field desk with everyone's Rank, Awards and OBD points on it![:p]

So what's up with this "Ludwig's Light Corps" name? Is that like "Lite" as in Lite Beer? Or is it "Light" as in we travel light and strike hard? Or is it "Light" as in the "Light" that is the last thing those poor Yanks see when we discharge our weapons into their faces? [;)]

Ah well... welcome back, Sir! Please give General Newton a hard time for me! <salute>

General Hulinsky,

It could be 'light' as in light-headed. That's how he feels after getting a good bashing from some of us Yanks. [:D]

Or he may just be 'light' on his feet as he flees from the rest of us.[:p]

General Hulinsky,

Roger <Salute>,

The Yankees almost got me, but I slipped to the back of the bar for a few months and just drank and watched. Now that I am good and loaded, I am ready for the next task!! [:)] Pin the tail on General Weir! Oh wait that is at the CSA Christmas Party... [:P] How much Swamp Stew can Roger eat? [:D] We all know you used to be a Swamp Legion boy and you sure as hell could eat a ton of that stuff.... [:p]

Indeed Den is an old pro at the ANV. A good guy all things considered. [:)] Don't remind me about pre-DoR days, man that was scary. I used to write on the walls to keep track of things. I am pretty sure some of the ol' timers were talking to themselves by the time that era ended...oh wait I think we all still do that... [:D]. Oh pardon me I have to say hi to this tree, it's the Prussian Ambassador don't you now... [:P] I think I just found your chalkboards, want be to ship them to you? Of course you used to be my ol' DC when I first joined. Man your horse crop could hurt... [:)]

Now why is it Ludwig's Light Corps? The beer? Naw we drink good hearty German stock. Travel light and strike hard, that's about it and of course, light is the last thing those Yanks do see from us.

The story is a short one, no wait it never is with me... [:D] Just the other day when I was looking around for the next place to tinker, I saw the 2nd Division, II Corps, ANV open. Which would be AP Hill's Division, Hill's Light Division. So I had made a flag with Ludwig's Light Division. When I talked with John Newton about it, he said the III Corps was open. So not wanting to pass up the ol' homestead (We all know the III Corps is the best in the ANV) I took it. AP Hill was the CC of it, so I just transferred the flag to Ludwig's Light Corps. True to Hill's Light Division reputation, that is how we will be in our Corps.

Well I am sure everyone has stopped reading at this point....the tome I have written. But yes I will give General Newton a hard time for you.

It's good to be back, now how about some Swamp Stew and Green Toad Brew? [:D] <Salute!>

Lt General Ludwig,
Scott,

Well... it's great to have you back! I know you'll do great things in the III Corps... there is certainly a whole lot of history there! [:)]

As for the Swamp Stew and Green Toad Brew... I'd be happy to have a few! But please... no ALLIGATOR in mine... it just wouldn't be good for me to get caught by Nicodemus with alligator breath! [:p]

Three Cheers for Ludwig's Light Corps! <salute>

But listen after 12 hours of proofreading websites and emails for 3 days straight, I am allowed a slip up!! [:p][:D]

Maybe you Southerners could make some money to buy shoes if you hit the market with Union Blockade Weight Control system, probably could take a chunk of Nutrisytem's market.
