I used FrontPage 2000 to create and update the Link Express. Microsoft no longer supports any of the FrontPage packages and thus my Link Express home (Tripod) has decided to no longer accept FrontPage enabled web sites. They are not alone in that decision and it is understandable. My software has gotten old just like I and my computer have. Attempts to ftp changes to the site resulted in additional FrontPage vs html problems which prohibited it. After 11.5 years of operating the Link Express, I will probably leave it on line until it becomes too outdated to be of any use. At some point, I will stop paying the $4.95 per month that is required by Tripod to provide an ad free environment for the website. Due to some real life family health challenges, I am not currently motivated enough to build a new Link Express. I will not say that I will never build a new one but I also will not say that I will.

This community has been super in notifying me of changes that were needed to the Link Express. It has been fun communicating with the members and providing that service and I regret not being able to continue it. I can assure you that I got more use and enjoyment out of the Link Express than anyone else. For example, it is time to put up the Christmas/Holiday decorations on the Link Express which I enjoyed every year but alas, Father Time has demanded change and he always gets what he wants.

I will miss the Link Express as I used it quite often, but nothing lasts forever.

Ned, I'll write to you regarding getting an eventual replacement for the Link Express. It is a far too central and utilized a webpage to be lost!

Ned,

I can assume hosting it or even taking over your page if need be. I'll let Joe take first choice at it, since he offered first, but I'll be a backup if need be...

Ned,

You put a lot of hard work and dedication into Link Express and it has been of great service to the club over those many years...heck I’ve had it set as my browser start page for several years.
Thank you for having created and maintained the site so for so long, you have truly been a color bearer for the ACWGC

I can only hope there will be someone who can pick up the standard and carry it forward and that your R/L issues will see improvement soon.

I'll be a 3rd option for the Link Express.
