Tiller should see this. some would go into existing campaigns, but others could be a basis for a new campaign. |

They might be interesting stand-alone battles but from the CSA standpoint we wouldnt be able to win any of them. Our goal would be to simply hold out as long as possible. What can you do as Johnston at Bentonville? Maybe a "what-if" scenario where Lee and Johnston somehow link up against either Grant and/or Sherman. That could make for a heck of a last ditch effort type battle. |

Campaigns can and do include both historical and "what-if" battles. The historical battle is only the basic template whereby a designer can "go to town" with all the maybes. In fact, the campaign battles are what-ifs depending on what decisions one makes. |
