I will be out of touch the next three days - April 27-29. Taking the little red headed girl for some R&R, we're off to Gettysburg tomorrow for our annual visit. No kats, kids, puppies or grandbabies and no internet.

Bob,

Friday and Saturday were the only nice weather days all month. We lucked out, didn't we?. BTW, the short, stocky guy in the Red Sox shirt on Friday and the New York Islanders shirt on Saturday was me.

I would estimate I have been there 25 or so times since 1991. Never gets old. (I have but going to G'Burg hasn't).

Dale,

I was there on Sat. with a small group of un-reconstructed rebs, one of the guys is a licensed battlefield guide and he did a 4 hour tour, Oak Hill, Confederate Ave., Peach Orchard, Round Top and the Angle with a last stop at the Maryland monument on Culp's Hill, always something new to discover no matter how many times I go there.

I live about an hour & half from both Gettysburg & Antietam and have gone there plenty of times. Have also wandered around most of Northern VA - Wilderness, Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania and where Jackson died.

I also recently drove up route 5 in VA from Williamsburg to Richmond to see many of the plantations along the way including where McClellan had his HQ in the Peninsula Campaign and also one of the crossings Grant sent his men across in the Petersburg Campaign. Tried to find City Point, VA but missed it by a mile or so.
