Dad, the American Civil War was your great hobby. I think you would have enjoyed these games. Thanks for helping to make this a world in which we are free to play them.

A big thanks to all veterans out there. You are all the real heroes!

Happy Memorial Day to my own grandfather who fought through WW2 and Korea as a Naval Officer. At his last ship's reunion he discovered he was the final member of his ship left, or ar least able to attend, from WW2. Happily the USN veterans from Korea and Vietnam all welcomed him to the ships reunion and he continues to love his role as the "honored guest" at the events.

To my various ancestors who rode for the C.S.A. . . .

To my grandfather, who claimed he was the luckiest doughboy in WWI, for arriving at the front trenches the morning of November 11, 1918.

To my father, who arrived at Pearl Harbor on December 9th, 1941, and who was later the sole survivor of a plan crash in the Solomon Islands . . .

To my brother, who was proud to be a marine, and who died during the Vietnam war proving it . . .

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Our gratitude and memorials for those who served and sacrificed can never be enough! This nation exists in large measure because of them.
