Gentlemen,

I'm thinking of doing an AAR (After Action Report) of my big Gettysburg Battle.

But, I'm thinking of keeping it to Union eyes only. Valuable trade secrets you know.
Where's the best forum to do this? Pinkerton's?

And, I have figure out how to attach images...

Pat, Pinkerton's Tent of the Union Army HQ Forum would be the place to do that!

Pat,

If you are running Win 10 I suggest using the Snip tool included with it. Put a shortcut on your taskbar, then you can have the game file or whatever you want to get the image from open along with whatever you are using to create the AAR. Click on the Snip utility, you can then grab the part of the screen you want. It is automatically copied to the clipboard and can then be pasted into the AAR. This is what I used for many of the screenshots in the updated manuals. Made things go a lot easier for doing a document.
If you're doing a webpage you will probably need to save the screenshots which you can also do with the utility, saving as jpg, png or gif.

Just saw your other post, if you're not running Win 10 I have an old free TSR program called Printkey that allows you to capture screen shots with the Print Screen button.
I can send you the installer if you need it. Pretty simple to use, you start the program, it sits in memory and when you hit Print Screen it opens, allows you to select what you want to copy and save it. Isn't real memory intensive as it was written for Win 98 but it runs fine in Win 10, used it before my daughter pointed out the Snip utility to me. You do need to exit it when you're done using it otherwise it will stay in memory until you shut down, like i said not memory intensive but will still use some.

Ken,

Thanks for all that.

Now, once that's done, how do you get the image into a forum post?

Once you select POST REPLY, you should see, at the bottom, a place to upload image Place filename and path to file and it should attach your file to your reply.
