Gentlemen <salute>

The Election Committee has advised that they received no further nominations for the UA CoA. As described in Club Rule 3.3.4.1.7, in this circumstance General Boling is thereby elected by acclimation.

Please join me in thanking General Boling for stepping up to serve in this key Club Position during a very important period of our Club's history!

I must also recognize the superlative service General Steve Sober has provided as Interim UA CoA. His work to mobilize the UA following Joe Meyer's retirement and sustain the many services that Joe provided was exceptional. A SALUTE to General Sober!

Fellow Union Army Officers:

My humble thanks for this strong vote of your confidence !

Now it seems I must combine my Major General promotion gala ball at Willards with a new festive occasion of my selection as General-in-Chief. Until THAT dual event can be celebrated, please join me a glass of your finest (and strongest).

I will send a note to the Union officers in the next week.

Meanwhile, all Union officers faithful and true are encouraged to search their conscience to see if they are "game" to fill the AotP Command position.

Thanks you all again...

LONG LIVE THE UNION !

I consider myself at least the equal of McClellan, Hooker, and Burnside. I will be happy to lead the Army of the Potomac, sir! I may not wear the Union blue, but, really, that might be a plus

Congrats to Jim on being the new Union CoA!

Congratulations to Maj. Gen. Boling for being the new CoA, and thanks for stepping up to this task, it surely isn't an easy one.

Many thanks to Gen. Sober for his outstanding interim service.

And congratulations to Gen. Boling -- we look forward to kicking Rebel butts from here down to Tuscaloosa under your vaunted leadership, sir!
