Just finished up a double-blind MP game between Mallory/Stewart (USA) vs. Swanson/Brogden (CSA). Check out https://blakeacwgc.wixsite.com/my-site for the full report.

Maybe get a cup of coffee as it's a decent-sized read if you have the time.

Sir
I was staring to read your AAR and I am interested in trying it out. I down loaded the files in your link I had no problems but when I tried to open it I got a message missing pdt file. The link only had oob and scn files.

As one of the participants in that game I'm pleased to say it was a lot of fun.

It was the third 'blind' game that I've been privileged to be involved in and I'm about to start another one. All of them have been challenging. Two of them had interesting and realistic quirks. The first was set up on a Chickamauga map and involved the use of scouts and had variable victory conditions. The Peninsula one described in the AAR had the gunboats. I had entered the battle regarding the gunboats as little more than a sideshow but later learnt that they were practically impossible to destroy yet were able to inflict massive casualties upon land based units when seven or less hexes away. I will certainly pay gunboats more respect in any battle where I see them reappear.

It was also great to be involved with other players who were prompt in taking their turn [most within 24 hours which is pretty good for a multiplayer game] and could engage in friendly banter while providing some historically flavoured comments as the turns were exchanged. It was also a nice change to be fighting with, rather than against, John Brogden, who worked with me to devise a suitable strategy and provided useful tactical insights during the battle. That brief partnership is over and I have just begun to engage him again in a battle from Campaign Shiloh.

Thank-you to Blake for setting up and refereeing an exciting battle.
