Post subject:  Confederate Ceremony for John Dragan Awards
Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Confederate Chief of the Armies, Gen. D.W. Mallory, I am honored to announce the first awarding's of the John Dragan Award.

The John Dragan Award is awarded to any Confederate officer accumulating 1,000 OBD points in the Department of Records. For each 1,000 points they earn they are awarded a John Dragan Award in honor of the accomplishment. Gen. John Dragan, a respected former member of the Club, blazed the way in the DoR by accumulating many thousands of points and spending over 20 years gaming in the Club. This award is meant to both honor his legacy and reward Confederate members who have shown the dedication and longevity to accumulate over 1,000 OBD points.

These five awards are the first of many as we catch up on overlooked awards and take the time to honor each recipient. We will continue to distribute these awards each week until we have duly honored each deserving Confederate officer for their achievements.

We begin this week by awarding the following John Dragan Awards to:

Did you know it takes over 3,600 BATTLE turns to reach 1,000 OBD points?

Assuming each and every game ended with a Major Victory status for you.

Accumulating 1,000 OBD points is no easy task!

Nick Kunz has logged 9,183 turns played (in 502 games) since the DoR was created.

The longevity and commitment it takes to reach these numbers is amazing! Well done, sirs!

I recall with awe that John Dragan had over 10,000 OBD points when he passed away. Truly amazing.

I'm pretty sure Antony Barlow, Derald Riggs, and I should get this award too. We three started playing him in 2002 and never stopped! Salute.
