I have also been known to forget that I _have not_ sent the turn!

Gentleman & ladies, Do you completely turn off the game after sending your PBEM turn? Do you leave application running after sending your PBEM turn, await the next PBEM turn, and continue play? Thanks! I need as many responses as I can get! |

I turn off the game before sending my PBEM turn. In multiplayer games where I am the last player, I save then close the game before sending a copy of the file to the team. I then reopen the game and the file to complete the turn before I save then click 'End Turn', close the game then email the completed turn to the opponents. [Why do this? A few times when I accidentally sent completed turns without closing the game an opponent has complained that they can not open the file.] |

I usually exit the game although at times I have forwarded the PBEM turn with the game still open, particularly if I'm talking about the game and it would be handy to reference it. |

I exit the game. I often play multiple opponents in multiple games (as Im sure you all do) and I close one game to open another. Just keeps my mind organized. Download .bte file, Play, save, close program, send file by email, repeat. |

I have found that not closing an application can produce problems with files, especially the replay file. When doing pbem I have always closed the program to make sure all files are closed and exited properly. I often play several game turns one after another when I have multiple turns come in at the same time but whether it is the same game or a different one I have always closed the application before starting another one. One of the reasons I really like the new WDS menu program is I don't have to restart it after closing a game, I can just use it to open the next game I want to play. Since my games are installed on a usb drive I only need one shortcut to open the menu. |
