The ACWGC's Department of Records is arguably the most underappreciated website in the Club. Ours has been ran by Gen. Ernie Sands for many years and has remained an integral and important part of our Club since its creation. I give Ernie my personal thanks for his incredible effort and dedication to keeping the site up and running!

For 2022 we will be "keeping score" in the Department of Records of each completed battle between Union and Confederate Members. Every OBD point earned in a battle, multiplayer, or one-on-one, will count towards your side's accumulative OBD point total in 2022. At the end of the year, we will use the Department of Records database to determine which side's members earned the most total OBD points in 2022. The side who earns the most points in recorded battles will be declared the victor of the Total War 1861 - 1865 Challenge.

The results for February were tabulated twice by two different members and are as follows:

22 CONFEDERATE MAJOR VICTORIES
13 Confederate Minor Victories
14 Draws
5 Union Minor Victories
4 UNION MAJOR VICTORIES

437.23 - Confederate Points earned in February
382.27 - Union Points earned in February

With ten months to go, and major battles starting today all over Maryland and Virginia, this is anyone's Challenge to win!

Most commendable. Practically a Win/Loss ratio of 4:1 (CS-35:US-9) to the Confederacy.

I'm pleased to advise that the 1st Corps, ANV did not lose a single battle during February. A Win/Loss success rate of 100%!
When Draws are considered the Yankees could only avoid defeat on less than 20% of it's battles against our Corps that month.

General Suh, <salute>

I would concur that General Sands does an outstanding job and, as indicated, perhaps, not as valued or appreciated as his work should be. The DoR not only keeps account of our conflicts and points accrued but also provides the facility, with some judicious research, much intel on what transpires between the combatants.

The "Backroom Boys" never achieve the Glory of that infamous charge or the heady heights of High Command but their worth should never be underestimated. They provide the necessary support and intel to our forces, giving us deep insight into our Foe and the wherewithal to drive forward to Victory.

I respectfully extend my gratitude to General Sands for the dedication, effort and indeed time he devotes to the Department of Records. I further, if I may make so bold, propose a toast from the Officer Corps of the Confederate States Army and request that my brother officers join me in being upstanding for the erstwhile General Sands.

<SALUTE SUH>
