The ACWGC's Department of Records is arguably the most underappreciated website in the Club. Ours has been ran by Gen. Ernie Sands for many years and has remained an integral and important part of our Club since its creation. I give Ernie my personal thanks for his incredible effort and dedication to keeping the site up and running!

For 2022 we will be "keeping score" in the Department of Records of each completed battle between Union and Confederate Members. Every OBD point earned in a battle, multiplayer, or one-on-one, will count towards your side's accumulative OBD point total in 2022. At the end of the year, we will use the Department of Records database to determine which side's members earned the most total OBD points in 2022. The side who earns the most points in recorded battles will be declared the victor of the Total War 1861 - 1865 Challenge.

The results for April were tabulated twice by two different members and are as follows:

25 CONFEDERATE MAJOR VICTORIES
6 Confederate Minor Victories
10 Draws
6 Union Minor Victories
7 UNION MAJOR VICTORIES

538.78 - Confederate Points earned in April
483.22 - Union Points earned in April

At the one-third mark and the Johnny Rebs are ahead. But a long way to go!

Through four months...
1,925.61 Confederate Points
1,724.39 Union Points

The Yankee armies are being routed in the west and the east as the Confederate side continues to win by more than 5:2. Thus far, CSA Minor Victories outnumber USA ones by more than 2:1 and Major Victories by a ratio greater than 3:1. No quarter has been shown when a victory is in sight; General Jackson would consider this 'most commendable' although he would probably hope for better.

I am pleased to advise that the 1st Corps, ANV contributed almost half of the CSA victories (14/31) yet only 2 of the 13 defeats. One outstanding officer from our Corps was victorious five times last month (all Major Victories) and was undefeated in any battle as he has been for a considerable time. Yours truly could only manage three victories (one was Minor), a Draw and also a Major Defeat in a custom multiplayer against two frustratingly capable Union Generals.

General Swanson <salute>

That is a commendable record of achievement by any standards, even daunting for us lesser mortals :-(
