Hello

I am Luke, a Georgian currently residing in Florida. I am enrolled in the AoNV, currently as a cadet under training, and I am excited to be joining such a group as yall. The American Civil War has captivated me since middle school, with a passion for history spanning further back. Hence why I'm in college (GSU) pushing for a major in History (sadly, there are no regular courses on the Civil War available). I've engaged with other amateur and accredited historians on CivilWarTalk, where I am a (semi-active) moderator for the Atlanta Campaign subforum.

If someone asked me what my favorite figure of the conflict was, I'd answer with Patrick Cleburne. He's an odd duck in the Confederacy generally, and one of the best infantry commanders the Confederates had west of the Appalachians. His division was certainly the best in the Army of Tennessee in terms of leadership and espirit d' corps and training. Add onto that the...interesting episode at Dalton, and yeah, I hold the Irish corporal quite highly.

If I had one asset to bring to the table, it is an obsession with OOBs. I have made a proper, comprehensive order of battle for the Army of Tennessee during the Atlanta Campaign, breaking down to the regimental officers, on CWT. I have yet to work on the Union side of the project, as that is a daunting task. I've also compiled OOBs and strengths for many of the western and eastern campaigns of 1863 and 1864, some of which I had hoped to implement in the John Tiller games once I got the respective games. In some, like the Overland Campaign and Atlanta Campaign, I've made multiple OOBs for revised strengths and "What if" possibilities; however, while some worked, I often ran into odd errors that I could not understand. I'd love to recieve advice on this once I can explain it in better detail.

The point is, I would like to potentially provide scenarios and altered OOBs, primarily for the 1864 Campaigns, mostly in order to get more realistic and actual numbers for units based on various sources I've compiled.

I hope to be able to engage others in discussions and PBEM games. I am with the AoNV for now, but may transfer to the AoT depending on the circumstances.
