A Confederate Prisoner is watching his Yankee Captives trying to put their mules in the barn. But the mules won't go in, so the yankees starts hacking away at the top of the barn door. The Confederate yells over the fence, Hey what are you doing yanks, what's the problem? One Yankee says, Oh these damn mules' ears are so long every time we try to put them in the barn, their ears hit the top of the door and they balk and won't go in. The Confederate says, Why don't you just dig away a little dirt below the door? The Yankees just shake their heads and says, Are you crazy? It's their ears that are too long, not their legs. |
