Happy 4th guys!

I'm doing some ACW research and came across an interesting cavalry battle in northern Mississippi (Vicksburg Campaign). I've located the map and OOB and would be willing to create and add this scenario, if there is interest.

Let me know if you would like to have this small scenario added. (Would add it to the Vicksburg Campaign game)

Hi, Derek,

After reading the battle description it sounds more appropriate for Corinth.

M. Gen. Mahilak, sir, <salute>

Great to hear from you Mike!

I would agree with you that this is on the board of the Corinth campaign and the start of the Vicksburg campaign. I didn't know they called this excursion the "Mississippi Central Railroad campaign". It looks like it was a short-lived campaign because of Van Dorn's raid that spoked Grant back to Oxford.

This battle looks to be an interesting little find. I think this battle can be done well for a 15 to 20 turn scenario. Have the OOB really helps too. The only tricky part is updating the map. I've got the details but there are many levels to update...terrain types, elevations and building details. Hopefully that doesn't take too long.
