Gen Gross pays a visit to his old friend Gen Danner one afternoon. Gen Gross takes a seat in the kitchen whilst Gen Danner makes him a cup of coffee. Gen Gross, being the inquisitive type, says "I can't help but notice there Gen Danner that you have a lot of empty milk bottles in your fridge, why exactly would that be?"
To which Gen Danner replies " Oh thats just in case a visitor wants a black coffee".

Officers of the AotT all must be related to the Peacocks of Pennsylvania in more ways than one.

My compliments....

it tastes as well as our cornbread, hush puppies and corn pudding.
Yes ya'll have the coffee and the distinct resemblance to the French Army.
If interested, I be glad to show you the similar traits

Go ahead, explain to me how we are like the French Army.

(at least we could write our own songs)

Suh!

My pleasure

The French Army and the Yankee Aot Tennessee

same military motto.... Don't shoot, we surrender.

same rifles: Never fired, dropped once.

What's the standard issue weapon in both Armies.... A white flag.

A lot of good reading to be had! Will add to my list of books to be purchased. Failure is more fun of a read, than success. Feeds that superiority complex.

Gentlemen <salute>

It appears the Officer Corps of The Army of the Tennessee expends a lot of energy reading books as opposed to pursuing the more warlike traits of The Army of Tennessee, the real Tennessee army.

Funny. I thought you were a part of the Army of the Mississippi. You'd think the "Real" Army of Tennessee could get their own identification straight in the Dept of Records.

Lt. Col. Karl McEntegart CSA Western AotM CoS

Only room in this club for one Western army and yours isn't it.

Colonel Johnson <salute>

Sir,

With respect I would refer you to my position as Chief of Staff, The Army of Tennessee, the only 'real' Western Army. The Dept. of Records AotM, like the books on which you gentlemen appear to expend so much energy, as previously noted, is no more than a 'paper exercise' I suggest. The CSA Army of Tennessee shrugs off such semantics and in its stead, bites ! like the snakes and gators, of our territories, and which are as kin to us.

There is, I further suggest, room in our club for more than one Western Army, however upon further and deeper reading and examination of the Dept. of Records, as you raised the erstwhile establishment, I believe you will quickly observe the premier Western Army, and it is definitely not yours Sir !

My compliments Suh!

You are correct. There is only one Army of Tennessee and it belongs to the South. Now if our Northern friends would like to decide this on the field of honor, I am sure we can show them the error of their ways. Thats if they have the resolve....as we know they are very similar to the French.

Gentlemen,

This old country which is France has inevitably in its history known some military setbacks.
Georges Clemenceau said that it was better to have an army of sheep and a general as a lion than an army of lions commanded by a sheep.
This saying is valid for all armies.
Good game to you Messieurs.
