Gentlemen <salute>

I will start by saying I am, as are we all, 'died in the wool' CWB buffs here and God Forbid this should ever change.

However like the big child I am, sometimes when passing the candy store I see something which I Just Have to Have ! And so it was today.

Slitherine/Matrix have a sale currently running on a large range of their game titles, only until 5th November though. I previously missed a title I had wanted so when it came up again on discount, what could I do ? As I searched for this title I came across another title of a unique period and of 'great interest', so again what could I possibly do. Candy has to be bought and eaten ! I will say here I have absolutely no affiliation whatsoever to Slitherine/Matrix, my only affiliation being to good games and gaming and I believe the following two will fulfil this criteria very well.

The games in question are:

Empires in Arms: based on the game by the Australian Design Group. A huge strategic game of the Napoleonic Wars. A turn based IGOUGO system with traditional PBEM.

Wars of Succession by Ageod: Another huge strategic game of the Wars of the Spanish Succession & Great Northern War. A turn based WEGO system with traditional PBEM.

I am a huge fan of big immersive games, be they operational like our CWB's or indeed Strategic as above. WDS announced the other day they are currently developing a new title for their M&P series, The Great Northern War, so how could I not prepare myself for the period.

I will leave it to you fine gentlenen to investigate further or not as desired. The normal retail price of the two games amounts to $70, I got both for $17...........Candy in the Store Window
