John Prados was a hero of mine. If you've been around board games and history as long as I have, you'll probably have come across some of his work, like Third Reich.

Thank you Sir for the notice. Indeed I am of that generation where the name John Prados was synonymous with board games, and good ones too. I am saddened at the news of his passing as he made my 'younger wargaming days' memorable.

Had several of his games back in the day, Third Reich is one of the few board wargames I still have. It was a regular both at our local gaming group and played it at every Origins I went to in the '70's and 80's. Would play in the tourneys during the day and get up a game of 3rd Reich or a big MP game of Panzer Leader during the free gaming time often staying up until the wee hours of the morning. Those were the days my friend.
