On December 18, 2022 General Blake Stricker was elected to the position of CSA CoA. On December 21, 2022, General Stickler resigned his CSA Cabinet Secretary Seat effective January 9, 2023. Now therefore, the Election Process for CSA Secretary is established as follows: Nomination Period: 22 Dec – Dec 28 5pm PST. Campaigning: 29 Dec 2022 – 11 Jan 2023 5pm PST Voting: 12 Jan – Jan 18 5pm PST. Please note that the Campaigning Period & Voting Period will only take place if there is more than one nominee. In the case where there is only one nominee, Club Rule 3.3.4.1.7 applies, and the nominee will be elected by acclamation. The ACWGC Cabinet will be prepared to begin receiving nominations on 22 Dec 2022. Candidates will be required to meet the criteria as defined by the ACWGC rules (3.3.4.2 Eligibility): 1) Must hold the rank of colonel or above and a member in good standing of the CSA side. 2) Must be nominated by two other members of the CSA side before being placed on the ballot. 3) Nominations must be submitted to the entire cabinet, email addresses of which are provided below. 4) Nominations must include a statement that the nominated officer agrees to serve if elected. 5) If nominating, the officer should use the email address of record contained in the Department of Records. The election committee will work to verify the identity of the nominating officer. However, the nomination will be disqualified if this is not possible before the end of the nominating period. Gentlemen, The nomination period for the CSA Cabinet Secretary position has now closed. The Cabinet has received one nomination, that of Colonel Steve Griffith. In accordance with ACWGC rule 3.3.4.1.7, Colonel Griffith is therefore elected by acclamation to the vacant CSA Cabinet position. Congratulations to Colonel Griffith - the ACWGC depends on officers taking one step forward & you've done exactly that, so thank you. |
